Developer accessStudentGigHub connects local high school students with businesses for flexible, short-term gigs. Post a gig in under 30 seconds — nothing upfront, just a simple 10% fee when you actually hire someone.
Businesses post gigs free. Students browse and apply free. No payment yet, for anyone.
The business picks an applicant. This places a hold on their card — not a charge — and unlocks contact info.
The student shows up and does the job the way it was posted.
The business marks it done, the student confirms, the charge is finalized, and both leave a rating.
No resume required. Sign up free, browse gigs near you, and apply in one tap.
Just your name, skills, and availability. No resume, no experience required.
Filter by pay, category, and availability. The business sees your name, rating, and message — your contact info stays private until they hire you.
When a business hires you, payment is secured up front — you know it's real before you show up. Once the gig is confirmed complete, both you and the business rate each other. Your rating follows you — the better you perform, the more businesses want to hire you.
Fill in a simple form, hit post, and motivated local students apply directly to you. You pick who you want. Nothing charged until you hire — just a simple 10% fee at that point.
Business name, contact info, and what kind of help you need. Done in under a minute.
Describe the task, set your pay, pick a date. Live instantly after approval. Students apply with their name, rating, and a short message — no payment required to post or browse applicants.
Choose the student you want to hire — that's when a hold is placed on your card (you're not charged yet, and their contact info unlocks). The hold refreshes itself automatically until the gig is confirmed done, so there's nothing you need to track. Change your mind before completion? Cancel at no cost.
Click any pin to see gig details and apply instantly.
All businesses agree to our safety guidelines before posting. Student safety is our top priority on every gig.
Post a gig and have motivated students apply directly. You pick who fits best — no middleman.
After every completed gig, both the student and business rate each other. Students build a verified reputation over time. Businesses hire with confidence knowing exactly who they're getting — and students know which businesses are worth working for.
No agency fees. Businesses and students connect directly. Simple, fast, and personal.
From 2-hour jobs to week-long gigs. Students set availability. Businesses post what they need, when they need it.
Students build verifiable work history. Businesses test students before committing to hire. Everyone wins.
"Posted a gig on Friday, had three applicants by Saturday morning. One of them was fantastic — hired him on the spot."
Free for students, always. Pick the option that fits how often you're posting.

Browse Gigs →We created Student Gig Hub because students need flexible work that fits school schedules — and businesses need affordable, reliable help without the commitment of hiring.
Hi, I'm Aaron Penrose — a graduate of Penn High School's Early College Academy (Class of 2026), heading to IUSB this fall, and the person who actually built StudentGigHub. I started this while still a student, because I saw how hard it is for students to find real, flexible work that fits around school, and how hard it is for local businesses to find reliable short-term help without the commitment of a full hire. I've kept building it since graduating — StudentGigHub is my attempt to fix both sides of that at once.
This project has grown through RISE and the Startup Moxie program, which have supported me in turning it from an idea into a real, working platform.
Read the Inside Indiana Business interview →To create the easiest, safest way for Indiana high school students to earn money and build real work experience — while giving local businesses access to motivated, vetted young workers who might just become their best future employees.
We believe work experience shouldn't only be available to students with connections. Every student deserves a shot to prove themselves.
A two-sided marketplace built specifically for the student-business relationship — with safety, accountability, and flexibility built in from day one.
Businesses are reviewed — every business agrees to our safety guidelines before posting any gig.
Students are real — every student provides their school and parent contact info when signing up.
Safety guidelines required — students must review our safety guidelines before their first gig.
Real accountability — businesses and students agree on pay and tasks upfront so everyone knows what to expect.
Clear agreements — pay rates are agreed upfront so there are no surprises for anyone.

Student Gig Hub — Local
Last updated: August 2026
Student Gig Hub ("we," "us," "our") is a platform that connects Indiana high school students with local businesses for short-term, flexible gig work. We are a platform — we facilitate connections but are not an employer of students or a staffing agency.
By allowing your child to create an account, you (the parent or guardian) agree that:
StudentGigHub is a platform that facilitates connections between students and businesses — we are not a party to any gig, and we do not supervise, control, or participate in the work itself. StudentGigHub is not liable for anything that happens during, in connection with, or as a result of a gig — including but not limited to injury, property damage, disputes over pay or conduct, or any other outcome arising from the arrangement between a student and a business. Any gig arranged through this platform is entered into solely between the student and the business; responsibility for the conduct, safety, and outcome of that gig rests entirely with them. We strongly encourage both parties to follow all safety guidelines. In no event shall StudentGigHub be liable for damages exceeding the amount paid through our platform in the relevant transaction.
StudentGigHub is an independent platform and is not formally affiliated with any school, school district, or educational institution — it is not a school program, and no school administers or operates it.

From students: name, email, date of birth, school, and — for students under 18 — a parent or guardian's name and email for the consent process. Once a payout account is set up, basic identity information required by our payment processor to send payouts.
From parents/guardians: name and email, used solely to send and process the account consent request for a minor student.
From businesses: business name, contact name, email, phone, and address. Payment card details are collected and stored directly by Stripe, our payment processor — StudentGigHub never sees or stores full card numbers.
Automatically: basic usage data (pages visited, general location inferred from IP) if analytics are enabled on the site.
We do not sell personal information. Limited information is shared only where necessary to operate the platform:
StudentGigHub is used by high school students, some of whom are under 18. We require parent or guardian consent before a minor's account becomes active, and a parent or guardian sets up the payout account on the student's behalf. We collect the minimum information necessary to operate the platform safely and do not use minors' data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
We retain account and gig-history data for as long as an account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. You can request account deletion at any time (see below).
You (or, for a minor, their parent/guardian) can request to view, correct, or delete the personal information we hold by contacting contact@studentgighub.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time. Some information may need to be retained where required by law (e.g., completed transaction records).
We may use basic, privacy-conscious analytics to understand overall site traffic and usage patterns. This data is aggregated and is not used to build individual advertising profiles.
We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
